Predictions
How do I participate in prediction markets?
You can participate in predictions by following these steps:
Prepare Funds: Prepare USDC on the Base network.
Explore and Select Predictions: Browse and choose live predictions on topics that interest you.
Place Predictions and Trade: For each question, select a position (such as YES or NO) and submit your prediction for the desired outcome.
Check Results and Settlement: Once the prediction ends, you can view the results in the Portfolio section at the top of the page.
How to Create a Prediction
When creating a prediction, the channel owner must set a security bond.
If the channel owner provides an incorrect outcome, part or all of the bond may be slashed (forfeited). However, if the prediction ends with a properly verified and correct outcome, the full bond will be returned to the channel owner.
What is the Role of a Channel Owner?
The Channel Owner is responsible for handling all matters within the channel, including creating and managing predictions.
The Channel owner confirms the initial results of predictions they create within the channel.
How to Dispute Prediction Results
Any user can raise a dispute after the channel owner has confirmed the result, as long as the prediction is in “Disputable” status.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the Prediction Resolution section.
For overall information on prediction participation and creation, please see the Using PredictGo and Channels sections.
